I believe that the three essential elements of user experience design are: the ability to recognize other's needs, passionate problem solving skills, and facilitative communication skills.
To be able to set the right goals and understand both my target users' and stakeholders' needs, recognition is the key. To create intuitive and goal oriented experience for users, cognitive ability is the key. And in any field, great communication skill is key.
I have been working at Wolfram Research in Champaign, Illinois as a user experience designer for the past four and half years, I have worked on projects involving a wide variety of technologies and platforms. This has involved the application and learning of a diverse array of UX methodologies, including user research, flow diagram, wireframes, paper/interactive prototypes, user tests, and much more.
As the lead UX designer for the newly released Wolfram Cloud iOS App, the Wolfram|Alpha iOS App with subscription model, as well as the Wolfram Community site, I have faced numerous new challenges with designing these new and different technologies distributed from Wolfram Research. Working on the cutting-edge of features and designs have brought a significant joy to my life that I hope to expand upon even further.
In my spare time, I also work on creating models for my product design ideas, but I also love drawing and camping in national parks.
